I Climbed Mt. Vesuvius Alone… and Found a Pregnant Woman at the Top 🇮🇹 What started as a normal day exploring Southern Italy somehow turned into one of the craziest travel experiences I’ve had so far. I headed out toward Mount Vesuvius expecting a simple volcano hike with some cool views over Naples… but the day quickly became way more chaotic than I imagined. The day started near Pompeii, where I found this small local pizza spot hidden away from the tourist crowds. I ended up trying a Buffalina pizza that might honestly be the best pizza I’ve ever had in my life. From there, I started wandering through random Italian villages with tiny streets, no sidewalks, chaotic drivers, abandoned buildings, and views that looked straight out of a movie. Eventually, I found a hidden black sand beach near Naples before making my way toward Mount Vesuvius. That’s when things got surreal. Hiking on volcanic rock while staring into the crater of one of the most famous volcanoes in the world felt unreal. The heat was brutal, the air was insanely dry, and every step higher up the mountain felt like I was walking through another planet. But reaching the summit and seeing the views over Naples and the coastline made the entire hike worth it. Then… I saw something I genuinely couldn’t believe. A pregnant woman standing near the top of Mount Vesuvius. Out of all the things I expected to see on an active volcano in Italy… that definitely wasn’t one of them. This vlog captures the real side of solo travel — the random moments, the culture shock, the exhaustion, the funny conversations with strangers, getting slightly lost, and the unexpected experiences you could never plan for.
